It was announced yesterday that country singer Toby Keith and alt rock band 3 Doors Down will be amongst the performers for Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 19th.
According to Rolling Stone, Keith declared: “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military. I performed at events for previous presidents Bush and Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO.”
The Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration features other artists such as Lee Greenwood, Broadway singer Jennifer Holliday (most recently in The Colour Purple), Piano Guys, and Frontmen of Country who will commemorate Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States.
There have reportedly been problems booking performers for the president-elect’s inauguration. Artists that have confirmed that they declined an invitation include: Elton John (obviously), Celine Dion, KISS, Garth Brooks, and Charlotte Church (who’s decline was very abrupt. See her Tweet below). A few of the Rockettes have also expressed concern over performing.
@realDonaldTrump Your staff have asked me to sing at your inauguration, a simple Internet search would show I think you’re a tyrant. Bye💩💩💩💩

The concert ceremony will take place at Washington D.C.’s Lincoln Memorial, and will also see actor Jon Voight, a proud Trump supporter, participating in some way (unlike his very liberal daughter, Angelina Jolie.)
