Matthew Perry Shares His Fave Line From Friends

In case you’ve been living under a rock all these years, Matthew Perry played funny man Chandler Bing on Friends for 10 seasons. Being the sarcastic funny man who regularly doled out hilarious one liners, Chandler is my favourite character.

You would think that with so many episodes to choose from, it would be hard to pick just one favourite line. But Perry recently revealed his during an appearance on Good Morning America.

It comes from season 2’s episode, titles “The One With Ross’s New Girlfriend:”

Joey: “You should go see Frankie, my family’s been going to him forever. He did my first suit when I was 15… No, wait, 16. No, excuse me, 15. When was 1990?”

Chandler responds: “OK, you have to stop the Q-tip when there’s resistance!”

There very well could be other favourites that Perry has, but he apparently doesn’t remember seasons 3 through 6 because he was battling drug and alcohol addiction.

“A little bit of the time, I was a little out of it, yeah,” he said in 2016 on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show. “I was never high at work. I was painfully hungover. Then eventually things got so bad I couldn’t hide it and everybody knew,” he revealed.

If you’ve ever consistently watched Friends like I have, you’d notice Perry’s weight fluctuation throughout the series.

At least he’s better now. After doing multiple stints in rehab, Perry has remained sober since 2001, opening the Perry House, a sober-living facility for those making the transition from rehab to the real world.

Could he BE doing any better?
