The stunning Amal Clooney attended the César Awards in Paris with husband George Clooney, looking oh-so-glam in a white feathered ombré Atelier Versace gown. You can see just the tiniest hint of a baby bump in the form-fitting dress.
The dashing couple confirmed on February 9th that they are expecting twins.
Amal completed the look with a clutch, fur shrug, statement earrings, bouncy curls and her signature red lip. George was looking dapper as ever in a classic tux and bow-tie.
This is Amal’s first red carpet appearance since announcing her pregnancy.
George, the well-known bachelor who claimed he would never marry again (he was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989-1993), reveals how he met the 39-year-old human rights attorney, admitting on the Late Show with David Letterman that he chased her for a bit:
“We met in Lake Como. She was a friend of a friend who came to visit and then I chased her for many months, calling and writing, those kinds of things.”
He later appeared on Ellen, and told her that his proposal, which happened 6 months after they met, was a disaster:
“Everything was planned out . . . it was like 25 minutes. Finally I literally said, ‘Look, I hope the answer’s yes, but I need an answer ’cause I’m 52 and I could throw out my hip pretty soon.’ And she said ‘Oh, yes,’ and it worked out really well.”
Now, the power couple are expecting not one, but two bundles of joy—and one of each! A girl AND a boy. I think it’s safe to say we all thought we’d never see the day George-freaking-Clooney married and had kids.
